Secondary Glazing

Our secondary glazing can be installed to improve thermal insulation, by utilising modern energy efficient glass, and to drastically improve sound and noise insulation. Studies show that secondary glazing will improve the U-value of your single glazed windows by up to 63%, without the expense of replacing your current window frames with a modern, double glazed equivelent, that may only improve thermal efficiency by up to 55%.

It is an environmentally friendly option, by saving your current window frames and increasing the thermal efficiency of your home, while achieving significant savings on heating costs.

Here we have installed our secondary glazing after we restored and draught proofed the Georgian sash windows. The secondary glazing is almost invisible from the exterior of the building. Lining up the meeting rail of the sash window with the meeting rail of the secondary glazing makes it blend in from the interior.
